Epicentrico nasce con l’obiettivo di avvicinare il teatro al pubblico, abbattendo le barriere tradizionali tra teatro, artisti e spettatori. Questo ambizioso progetto è concepito per generare una vera e propria “scossa culturale” attraverso il teatro, puntando a creare connessioni significative e dialoghi tra persone di tutte le età e provenienze sociali. Epicentrico si impegna a superare le barriere generazionali, culturali e fisiche, trasformando il teatro in un’esperienza condivisa e inclusiva per tutti.

La rassegna teatrale di Epicentrico comprende una serie di spettacoli che si svolgono in diverse location, sia all’aperto che in spazi chiusi, nelle località di San Giorgio di Nogaro, Porpetto, Torviscosa e Gonars. Questa diffusione territoriale permette di raggiungere un pubblico ampio e variegato, portando l’arte teatrale direttamente nelle comunità locali.

La compagnia BRAT, promotrice del progetto, si basa su un’idea di teatro popolare e inclusivo. Questo approccio mira a coinvolgere tutti i segmenti della società, promuovendo esperienze teatrali che stimolano il dialogo e l’inclusione. Per garantire l’accessibilità, gli spettacoli all’aperto sono gratuiti, mentre i biglietti per gli spettacoli in Auditorium costano solo 5 euro. Questo prezzo simbolico è pensato per garantire l’accesso al teatro a tutti, rispettando la professionalità degli artisti e il valore dell’esperienza culturale.

Un elemento centrale del progetto è rappresentato dai percorsi di avvicinamento al teatro, destinati sia ai bambini che agli adulti. Questi percorsi sono progettati per stimolare la partecipazione e accrescere la conoscenza e l’interesse per le arti sceniche, offrendo opportunità per scoprire e apprezzare il teatro in modo attivo e coinvolgente.

Dal 2024, Epicentrico offre uno sguardo approfondito su ciò che avviene dietro le quinte, con l’obiettivo di rendere il teatro più visibile e accessibile. Mostrando anche il lavoro che precede e segue gli spettacoli, il progetto mira ad abbattere in maniera ancora più efficace i muri simbolici che separano il pubblico dagli artisti. Questa “scossa culturale” arricchisce l’esperienza teatrale, consentendo di conoscere il teatro in modo più completo e consapevole.

Epicentric is a neologism that comes from the fusion of the terms Epicenter and Eccentric.

Epicentro:
In seismology, the area of the earth’s surface where an earthquake occurs with maximum intensity: it surrounds the point (epicenter proper) located on the earth’s radius that passes through the earthquake’s hypocenter;
By extension, the center from which an epidemic or insurgent movement, ideology and the like spreads.

Eccentric:
Two circles contained within each other, but with different centers;
In mechanics organ in the form of a circular disk, revolving about an axis normal to the plane of the disk and not passing through its center, coupled with two contiguous members (connecting rod and frame), with which it forms a rotoidal pair, serves to transform the rotary motion of the disk into the reciprocating rectilinear motion of the rod connected with the connecting rod; In ancient Ptolemaic astronomy, auxiliary circle employed to explain the motion of the planets around the Earth;
In volcanology, eccentric crater, eruptive mouth that opens at some distance from the central apparatus of a volcano, connected to it, however, in depth.

Epicentric sees the theater as the epicenter of a telluric shock that stirs people, shaking them up by provoking the need to become culturally and socially active.
A tremor that collapses the walls of the theater and takes it outside, into the streets, which makes its interior visible even from the outside, like a house dismembered by an earthquake. A positive earthquake in which people can approach the theater and look at it from inside, from behind, and discover it – perhaps for the first time.
An eccentric project: with multiple centers and decentralized because it involves multiple centers, including smaller towns that often remain excluded and undervalued. Which has an eccentric crater in the Slovenian-Italian Goritian, connected with the rest of the Epicentric project.
